To intentionally share Christ’s love and salvation with the youth, in order to create life-long disciples of Jesus Christ, so that they can intentionally share Christ’s love and salvation with others.

Wednesday Bus Program

On Wednesday's, our bus program sends our church bus to pick up our students from DeLand Middle and South Western Middle School. DeLand Middle School pick up is in the parking lot by the gym and the bike racks. South Western Middle School pick up is in the bus loop. Students need to have a Bus Form turned in before they can ride on the bus. The online form is found in our Event Forms Section.

Wednesday's
2:45 PM- 7:15 PM
(no early release: 3:45 PM- 7:15 PM)

Youth begins at 2:45 (3:45 on non early release days) to hang out, eat snacks, and do homework. Our middle schooler bus arrives about an hour after. We play games and break into Kingdom Groups, then go to Impact Dinner at 5:30. We have a message time and break into small groups afterwards.

Impact Dinner

Impact Dinner takes place in the LEC gym at 5:30pm on Wednesday's. The dinner costs $6 (or $20 for a family of 4) and reservations are required. RSVP's are due by noon on the Monday before and can be made by responding to the Remind text message, or turning in a Connect Card Sunday morning.

Trip Permission Forms

After registering for a trip, each youth needs to turn in a trip permission form. A trip permission form and the trip deposit turned in together will secure the youth's spot on a trip. Trip permission forms can be turned in to Lucy in person or by email. Each youth also needs a medical release form notarized and on file to attend off campus or overnight trips. The church office has a free notary during church office hours. One medical release form is valid for an entire year.

Fundraising

Fundraisers provide our youth the opportunity to work and earn money that goes into their student accounts. Youth can use their student accounts to pay for trips that we go on!

Overflow Youth Group has  2 annual fundraising events: our Rummage Sale in March,  and our Pumpkin Patch in October. Our Fundraising Committee plans other smaller fundraisers. If you would like to become a part of the committee, email Lucy at @lhudson@firstchurchdeland.org !
